 After months of being alone, sad, busy, sidetracked, free, lofty, late and away from his kids, Lenny, 34 with graying frazzled hair, picks his kids up from school. Every year he spends a couple of weeks with his sons Sage, 9, and Frey, 7. Lenny juggles his kids and everything else all within a midtown studio apartment in New York City. He ultimately faces the choice of being their father or their friend all with the idea that these two weeks must last 6 months. In these two weeks, a trip upstate, visitors from strange lands, a mother, a girlfriend, "magic" blankets, and complete lawlessness seem to take over their lives. The film is a swan song to excuses and responsibilities; to fatherhood and self-created experiences, and to what it's like to be truly torn between being a child and being an adult.

The children don't know their grandmother, a dirty, miserly, and mean old woman who barely allows them inside the house. Left to their own devices, the two children learn to cope with hunger, the cold, and the everyday cruelty in a devastated country. To protect themselves, the twins reject all moral codes and values and instead take their lessons from the evil around them in order to try to survive. The siblings studiously note, as objectively as possible, their discoveries and their burgeoning knowledge in a notebook.

I must say I was happily surprised to see such potentially heavy subject handled as gently as it is. The actress was actually a virgin and fifteen when they filmed it, so her mother was present, and someone had to explain to the girl how to fake a sex scene. It was funny to see her recall the experience at a movie debate on Brazilian TV. And she looks convincing in the movie. I thought she was older, and doing a good job of looking younger, when I saw it. If you seriously believe no one under 18 has any emotional maturity, you're in for a shock.

Nun sind endlich die Sommerferien herangekommen. Marco (Tobias Blume) und Tobi (René Hahn) haben vorab viele Pläne geschmiedet, die aus ihrer Sicht geeignet sind, die gesamten acht Wochen Ferien entsprechend abwechslungsreich und unter Jungs zu gestalten. Dann aber kommt die “schlechte” Nachricht: Marco soll für eine Zeit in ein Ferienlager ins Erzgebirge fahren. Was ist nun mit den schönen Vorhaben der beiden?
Um in dieser Hinsicht nicht alles über Bord werfen zu müssen und gemeinsame Abenteuer erleben zu können, überredet Marco seinen Freund, ihn mit Pferd und Wagen von zu Hause bis zum Ferienlager zu begleiten - das Ganze natürlich auf Umwegen, versteht sich! Und in der Weise beginnen die beiden Jungen dann eine interessante, abenteuerliche Expedition. Alles verläuft dann aber nicht ganz ohne kleine “Wehehchen” , so dass sie ziemlich lädiert im Ferienlager eintreffen. Als sie sehen, wie vielfältig das Lagerleben ist, ärgern sie sich, nicht schon früher eingetroffen zu sein.

Per la prima volta in una scuola materna di Corticella (Bologna) prende servizio un maestro di sesso maschile. Roberto, questo il suo nome, è un eccellente educatore, che stabilisce subito un ottimo rapporto con i bambini (che fra l'altro apprezzano moltissimo l'insolita presenza non "materna" nel corpo insegnante), e con le colleghe; tuttavia i suoi metodi educativi, piuttosto anticonvenzionali e ispirati ad una grande libertà, lo porteranno ad avere alcuni problemi con i tutori dell'ordine. Roberto instaura una relazione con Isabella, madre nubile della sua alunna Michela, e la donna si ritrova un'altra volta incinta; inoltre si lega di particolare amicizia con Gianluigi, un bambino affetto da disturbi comportamentali, che non parla e si alimenta pochissimo e in considerazione di questo viene allontanato dall'asilo per essere ospitato in una casa di cura. Nell'estate successiva Isabella, prossima al parto, manifesta l'intenzione di trasferirsi in Sardegna dove possiede un cinema dismesso. Roberto, pur non espressamente invitato a seguirla, la accompagna insieme a un gruppo di bambini fra cui Gianluigi. Proprio nei giorni in cui Isabella dà alla luce il suo secondo bambino Gianluigi dà segni di guarigione.

He takes ten children, including Gianluigi, to Sardinia for the baby's birth, and there, surrounded by the sea, the mother of us all, he and Gianluigi play out their surprising bond.

dès l'été, commence l'année terrible. paul Fontanes, l'instituteur de Saint-André-la-Vallée prépare son fils Antoine ; Mlle Rachel, de Saint-Pierre-du-Mont, lance dans la bataille la tendre et folle Pascaline.
Pendant que les jeunes candidats connaissent leurs premiers émois amoureux et se passionnent pour les romances à deux sous, les espoirs et désespoirs des instituteurs viennent fausser la règle du jeu. Alors, entre adultes et enfants, se noue un drame qui ne connaîtra son épiogue que douze ans plus tard...

EN. This certificate was formerly obtained by pupils at the end of primary school. It disappeared and in the naughties is nothing but a memory for older people, retired or soon-to-be-retired. I thought myself of taking it, but the principal told my mother it was useless.
The teacher of a small village has a dream: he wants his son to get his certificate and to be the best in the district ("Canton"). His younger son is less gifted: he is ashamed of him and treats him like a dunce. His obsession is so strong his marriage (his wife is a schoolteacher too) is soon on the rocks. Enter a handsome teacher and this is no more the perfect family.
The day of the exam is particularly well directed, with the inspector of schools and the inhabitants talking arithmetic and spelling. When the results are announced, there will be some surprises. And even an unexpected twist, ten years later. This is an above average MTV work.

 This documentary is about 12 French teenagers who sail a large sailing ship (with the help of two or three adults), following the same course Columbus followed from Spain to the Yucatan Peninsula, with stops at various Caribbean islands.
It's an excellent film with decent production values for the time. The boys clearly know how to sail and demonstrate a lot of courage and skill. There is one great scene in which a woman sings on the beach, and her dog tries to sing along with her.
This film would be excellent for families, teenagers interested in sailing, and others interested in Columbus, the Caribbean, the Canary Islands, Spain and Mexico. It is also a good film if you want to brush up on your colloquial French, although it has English subtitles for those who do not speak French.

At early 16th century a priest joins the spanish conquerros in order to bring christianity to the indios. The expedition is murdered by the indios, only the priest is sparred. Santiago, the priest, first tries to continue christianization, but finally becomes one of them - until the Spaniards return.

 Der heitere Fernsehfilm von 1977 bot den Zuschauern ein Wiedersehen mit beliebten Darstellern in einer Geschichte über zwei Freunde, die durch den Einfluss der Liebe in einige Verwirrungen geraten, an deren Ende aber die wahre Liebe den rechten Weg weist. Schauplatz des ganzen war Berlin, die Hauptstadt der DDR, deren Straßen und Plätze, Häuser und Wohnungen.
Und mitten drin in diesem Milieu lebt Ulrike Busch (Susanne Linser), ein zehnjähriges Mädchen, dass mit Energie und Zielstrebigkeit nach einem neuen Vater sucht. Als Ulrike zusammen mit ihrem Schulfreund den aus Mühlhausen stammenden Bauarbeiter Dieter Körber (Jürgen Heinrich) kennen lernt, ist sie überzeugt, dass dieser ihr neuer Vater sein könnte. Nun gilt es, Ulrikes Mutter (Micaëla Kreißler) mit sanfter Hand zu ihrem neuen Glück zu führen. Dass dabei auch der sympathische Großvater Karl (Gerhard Bienert) mit einbezogen wird, darf an dieser Stelle nicht unerwähnt bleiben.
Diese TV-Produktion galt in der Zeit ihres Entstehens als gelungenes Werk, vom realen Sozialismus zu berichten, von der Geborgenheit und Zukunftsgewissheit der Menschen in der DDR, und sie war zudem der wiederholte Versuch, der Hauptstadt Berlin eine Liebeserklärung zu offerieren.

Spain 1960, the dawn of the country's economic development. Industrial "reorganization" means that many workers have lost their jobs and are forced to emigrate. Martin is one of them. Martin, his wife Pilar and their son Pablito live with Mart'n's parents in a basement apartment that comes with their job as superintendents of the building. Encouraged by Marcos, his friend and co-worker, Martin decides to emigrate to Switzerland. The whole family has to admit that for the time being this is the most promising plan. Unable to obtain a work contract from the Swiss Consulate, Martin and Marcos decide to go anyway, pretending they are tourists to get past the border police. Pablito will experience drastic changes in a short period of time: his father's departure, a new way of life in a different country with a different environment and learning another language. But afterwards, in Switzerland, they will face new experiences which will allow them to live with renewed happiness.

This includes naughty nuns, materialism in the form of a man in front of a dresser with drawers full of pigeons which he promptly axes, a swarm of aggressive naked children, naked river nymphs, a leather-clad dominatrix, an alternate version of himself, what may be a succubus helped by masked men, and various other odds and ends, until he makes love to nature and defecates on her. Dream-like super-impositions, cinematography and sound add to this hippy-esque and symbolic fantasy-cum-parable.

Meanwhile, her mother, Florencia, must make tough moral decisions in order for them to survive under the political oppression. Even Carnival, with all its colorfulness and celebration, cant disguise the mounting tension between the villagers and government making the girls coming of age all the more difficult when the two collide. This movie combines attractive visual scenes with a highly sensual atmosphere as Florencia fights and uses all her resources and beauty to survive and find revenge.

 Malá Bětka se trápí pro ztracené černé kuřátko. Tatínek, aby ji utěšil, vypráví holčičce pohádku o Plivníkovi a také to, že Plivník, ztracené černé kuře, na sebe mohlo vzít jinou podobu, třeba i lidskou. To je ovšem něco pro Bětčinu fantazii. Vykonstruuje si, že ztracený Plivník je jejich nová sousedka, chalupářka z Prahy, a zosnuje spolu s kamarádkou Andulkou velkolepou past, na kterou ovšem sama doplatí. V komedii pro děti i dospělé si hlavní dětskou roli zahrála Klára Jandová.
